Dissemination of knowledge
PPGECO develops actions of the most varied types with regard to the dissemination of the knowledge that is produced about the area of Ecology, considering that one of the main goals of the Program is to supply the shortage of trained professionals in this area in the Northern region of Brazil. The Program is involved in initiatives such as PPBio Eastern Amazon, where members of the PPGECO faculty develop technical levelling and training actions in teaching and research institutions in the states of Pará and Amapá, seeking to reduce the gaps that exist in these institutions and stimulate training and consolidation of interinstitutional research groups. In addition, the professors of the Program also participate in regional and national discussions that promote the development of public policies focused on the environment.
